2. Summary

Pro Launcher is designed to keep your data on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, no advertising identifiers and no analytics tracking. The app talks to the internet for exactly four reasons: fetching weather, downloading wallpapers, reporting crashes, and handling Pro purchases. Each is described below.

Data the app reads through Android permissions (your installed apps, usage statistics, calendar, step count, and so on) is processed on your device only and is never sent to us or to anyone else.

3. Data processed on your device only

Pro Launcher asks for the following permissions. Everything listed here stays on your phone, is never transmitted, and is removed when you uninstall the app or delete it inside the app.

• Installed apps (query all packages): to show and search your app list, hide apps, and organise the home screen. The list is cached in a local database.
• Usage access (package usage stats): to show your screen time and to power the Interrupt and app-limit features. The app reads Android's usage events locally. We do not collect any app usage data.
• Accessibility service: used only for the "double tap to lock" gesture, which turns the screen off. The service is restricted to Pro Launcher's own package, reads no content from other apps, and performs no other action.
• Display over other apps: to show the Interrupt overlay when you open an app you chose to limit.
• Calendar (read): to show upcoming events on the home screen. The app reads event titles, times and the names of the calendar accounts on your device so you can pick which calendars to display.
• Physical activity (activity recognition): to count steps using your phone's step sensor. Step history is stored in a local database.
• Notification policy, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, alarms, wallpaper, status bar, uninstall requests: used for the quick-toggle and shortcut features. No data is read or stored.
• Foreground service notification: shown while the Interrupt monitor or step counter is running, so you know the app is active.

Biometric lock for hidden apps uses Android's own biometric prompt. The app receives only a success or failure result. It never receives, stores or has access to your fingerprint or face data.

4. Data sent off your device

Weather - OpenWeatherMap (OpenWeather Ltd, United Kingdom)

Used only if you enable the weather widget.

• If you search for a place, the text you type is sent to OpenWeatherMap to find matching locations.
